MRI Protocols:
Human Ethics: Before planning the experiment, the researcher needs to provide a valid human ethics certificate from their respective institute committee.
Before starting the MRI scanning, the researchers need to follow protocol:
- Preliminary screening: The participants should be fully informed about the nature of the experiment and the techniques that will be employed throughout the study.
- Comprehensive screening: – Printed form to document screening
- Review information on screening form.
- Verbal interview to verify information on form and discuss with patient concerns.
- MR safety trained healthcare professionals must conduct patient screening.
- Anyone in the MR examination room exposed to MR field.
- Based on MR Labeling, the researcher needs to take precautions for participants:
-MR safe: Device is completely non-magnetic, non-electrically conductive components, and indicates no known hazards in all MRI environments.

-MR conditional: Device or implant may contain magnetic, electrically conductive components, but the devices are safe when used in proximity to MRI provided conditions.

-MR unsafe: An item that is known to pose hazards in all MRI environments.
